Make these easy, no-bake Kentucky Bourbon Balls using vanilla wafers and pecans. They are rich, boozy treats perfect for holiday parties or adult gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Extra confectioners’ sugar or cocoa powder for rolling

Instructions

  1. Place the crushed vanilla wafers, chopped pecans, confectioners’ sugar, and cocoa powder into a large mixing bowl. Stir the dry ingredients together until they are well combined.
  2. In a separate small bowl, mix together the bourbon, corn syrup, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients. Use a sturdy spoon or your hands to mix everything until a stiff dough forms.
  4. Place the dough in the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes to make rolling easier.
  5. Place extra confectioners’ sugar or cocoa powder on a plate.
  6. Scoop out small amounts of the chilled dough (about 1 tablespoon each) and roll them into balls.
  7. Roll each ball in the coating until fully covered.
  8. Place the finished bourbon balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  9. Chill the bourbon balls for at least 1 hour before serving to allow them to set.

Notes

  • You can substitute bourbon with whiskey or rum if preferred.
  • For a stronger bourbon flavor, let the dough rest for a few hours or overnight before rolling.
  • These boozy dessert balls store well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
