Ingredients
Scale
2 oz Tequila Blanco
1 oz Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1.5 oz Cranberry Juice (100% juice)
1 oz Pomegranate Juice (100% juice)
Optional: 0.5 oz Simple Syrup (adjust to taste)
For Rim: Coarse Salt or Granulated Sugar
For Garnish: Fresh Cranberries, Pomegranate Arils, Rosemary Sprig
Instructions
Prepare the rim: Run a lime wedge around half the rim of your serving glass. Dip the moistened rim into a shallow plate of salt or sugar.
Combine ingredients: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, cranberry juice, and pomegranate juice. Add simple syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink.
Shake well: Close the shaker and shake vigorously until the outside is very cold, about 15 seconds.
Strain: Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice. Strain the margarita mixture into the glass.
Garnish: Add fresh cranberries, a few pomegranate arils, and a small rosemary sprig to the drink for a festive look.
For a pitcher: Multiply all liquid ingredients by the number of servings needed. Mix all ingredients in a pitcher, but do not add ice. Chill for at least 2 hours. When ready to serve, shake or stir each portion with ice before pouring into rimmed glasses.
Notes
For a mocktail version, substitute the tequila and orange liqueur with equal parts sparkling water and an extra ounce of cranberry and pomegranate juice mix.
If you want a deeper red color, use less lime juice or add a splash of grenadine.
For a sugar rim, mix 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar with 1 teaspoon of lime zest for extra aroma.
