Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Pour the cream mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. If using, mix the breadcrumbs with the melted butter and sprinkle over the top of the chicken.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a low carb option, omit the breadcrumbs.
  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts; adjust baking time as needed.
  • This dish reheats well for lunch the next day.
