Make this tender and flaky honey garlic butter baked salmon for a quick, high-protein weeknight dinner. This easy seafood recipe uses a vibrant glaze and requires minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, pepper, and salt to create the honey garlic glaze.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush half of the honey garlic glaze evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
  6. Remove the salmon from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the hot fish.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the salmon after baking.
  • If you prefer a thicker glaze, let the sauce simmer on the stovetop for 2 minutes before brushing it on.
