Ingredients
Scale
1 (24 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli
1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 large egg
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth.
Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli layer. Sprinkle with 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese.
Spoon half of the remaining marinara sauce over the cheese layer.
Repeat the layers: remaining ravioli, remaining ricotta mixture, and the rest of the marinara sauce.
Top the entire casserole with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and the Parmesan cheese.
Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the lazy lasagna rest for 5 minutes before you serve it.
Notes
For a meatier version, brown 1 pound of ground beef or Italian sausage and mix it into the jar of marinara sauce before layering.
If your ravioli is stuck together, you can briefly run it under cool water to separate the pieces before layering.
This is a great family meal shortcut that tastes like classic lasagna.
