Ingredients
Scale
6 cups white grape juice, chilled
3 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled
2 cups cranberry juice, chilled
1 cup maraschino cherry juice (from the jar)
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup fresh raspberries
Ice cubes
Optional: Star-shaped pineapple slices for garnish
Instructions
Prepare the blue layer: In a large punch bowl, gently pour 3 cups of the chilled white grape juice. Slowly add 1 cup of the lemon-lime soda to keep the layers separate as much as possible.
Prepare the white layer: In a separate bowl, mix the remaining 3 cups of white grape juice with the remaining 2 cups of lemon-lime soda. Slowly pour this mixture over the back of a spoon onto the blue layer in the punch bowl.
Prepare the red layer: Gently pour the cranberry juice and the maraschino cherry juice over the back of a spoon onto the white layer. The goal is to create distinct color bands.
Add fruit: Scatter the fresh blueberries and raspberries into the punch. These will mostly settle in the middle or top layers.
Chill: Keep the punch refrigerated until serving time. Add ice cubes just before guests arrive to minimize dilution.
Serve: Ladle the patriotic punch into glasses, ensuring each serving gets some of the fruit. Garnish glasses with a star-shaped pineapple slice if desired.
Notes
For an adult version, you can substitute 2 cups of the white grape juice with vodka or white rum.
To help maintain the layers longer, chill all liquids thoroughly before mixing.
Use frozen fruit instead of ice cubes to keep the punch cold without watering down the flavor.
